All Centroid Retrofits come standard with "Intercon" Conversational programming. You can program your parts right at the machine in minutes. Intercon has built in canned cycles so all you need to do is answer a few questions and Intercon does the rest. 90% of Centroid owners use Intercon to program their machines. (The other 9.8% use a CAD/CAM system and there are still a few customers still writing G codes by hand).

Standard features that really add up to make a Big difference!

When it comes to programming its the little things that really add up. For instance, the part program graphics displays both the programmed path AND the cuttercompensated path. It uses two deferent colored lines so you can easily tell what cutter comp is doing! Most other controls do not show you this information and you have to cut the part to find out that you have a cutter programming error!

Graphics that really show you whats going on! Red lines are Rapid moves, Yellow lines are feedrate moves and show the centerline of the tool and white lines are the programmed path. Centroid graphics are Scaled so you can tell how big a part is. The part graphics will show you Top, Right, Front and 3D views and its easy to zoom in or out. You can easily control the speed in which the graphics draws your part with the feedrate overide knob. The graphics will also draw just a section of the program making it easy to study a certian area of the part program. The graphics also has a very accurate built in part run-time estimator.

Its the "little things" that really add up.

Memory: The Centroid CNC will remember your part zero positions, the tool library settings, and all your part programs even if the power goes out. No need to reset your vise or load programs if the power goes out! The Centroid can store thousands of part programs right at the control.

Program interrupt and restart: While machining, you can easily stop and restart the job at ANY location. The handy "tool check" button will stop the job from machining, shut the spindle off and retract from the work piece allowing you to clean off the work piece or check the tool to make sure it is still in good shape, Then you can restart right back where you left off just by pressing cycle start!

Built in Hard drive and Floppy drive. All Centroid CNC retrofits come with a large built in hard drive and a floppy drive at no extra cost.
